There are flags and banners at the entrance to the auto road that provide clues to the wind direction and velocity.

Avoid flying too close to the people and vehicles waiting to start their trip to the top just in case you are not as good as you think you are.


The lawn has an interesting contour, with a small ridge running north-south along the centerline.

People occasionally use the lawn as a picnic spot.
